Andrés Saenz de Sicilia (b. 1985) is a British-Mexican philosopher, researcher and artist. He is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Northeastern University London and Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
He holds a PhD and MA from the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University and a BA (Hons) Philosophy from the University of Sussex. He is accredited as a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a member of Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNI).
He is author of From the Critique of Reason to the Critique of Society: Subsumption in Kant, Hegel in Marx (forthcoming with Brill in 2024) and has published widely in the fields of philosophy and social and political theory, as well as carrying out socially engaged research projects and collaborations (see Publications).
His creative works and performances have been featured in programs at the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Café OTO, Whitechapel Gallery, BBC Radio, UNESCO Living Coast Biosphere, Documenta fifteen, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Roma, Villa Lontana, Flat Time House and ZKM Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe (see Performances and Discography).
